Obscura is a marketplace for buying and selling AI-powered tone captures, connecting capture makers and artists directly. We guide you through metadata, audio demos, and setup step by step. Once trained, manage discovery, purchasing, and delivery—all in one place.
Why Obscura?
No Separate Website Needed
Launch your store on Obscura without a separate website or social presence. Save on extra costs like building a site, hosting, and adding custom features.
No Escrow
Payments go straight from buyer to seller, avoiding the bankruptcy or delay risks of escrow.
No manual Quad Cortex capture delivery
Quad Cortex normally requires sellers to deliver captures manually to buyers, but Obscura's automatic delivery system sends everything without extra steps from the seller.
Seller Journey
1. Enter your PayPal Client ID to open a store.
2. Upload capture files with required metadata and audio demos.
3. Once published, orders, delivery, and payouts happen automatically.
Simple Fees
We take a fee on each sale and reinvest it into operating and improving Obscura so sellers can earn more. Founding sellers (those who join and post their first product) receive a lifetime 15% fee. Future general sellers will be 20–30% depending on platform growth and seller profitability.
Important Notes
Payments
Payments go directly to the seller's PayPal account, so a PayPal account is required.
Payouts
We request PayPal settlement from sellers roughly once a week. If a payout is missed, capture products are hidden until it is resolved. Repeatedly missing payouts will flag the store with a "Seller at Risk" warning and may require a deposit to secure future payouts.
Seller Agreement
By registering as a seller, you agree to comply with our Seller Agreement. This includes commission rates, payment terms, intellectual property responsibilities, and platform policies.
